DRINK SYSTEM IN F1 CARS

Formula 1 is one of the most dangerous and quite exhaustible sport in the world. There are many reasons that f1 drivers use their drink system during race for intense racing.

Before going into technical details let's understand why drivers need to drink?

As the drivers requires high level of fitness they undergo various excersie routines and lose upto a significant weight before race.Certain amount of body weight is designed for race car and driver need to adapt accordingly.

The cockpit is infront of engine and throughout the race it gets very heated around 100°F due to various technical functions going on at same time. So the drivers perspires constantly.

To overcome this physical exertion engineers introduced an drinking system for drivers. So that they can hydrate themselves and have more concentration on intense battle going on race track.

DRINK DETAILS:-

The drink varies from driver to driver Commonly an hypotonic solution with a lot of electrolytes are placed for more concentration and focus in race.
It may be upto 1 to 1.2 litres or even less due to the WEIGTH specification designed for the car.

TECHNICAL DETAILS:-

F1 engineers have made drink system in car everytime him pressing the button would pump the fluid and would reach his mouth via a tube.It is usually stored in cockpit itself for many cars and placed lower as possible.

CONCLUSION:-

The body lowers it's temperature as rapid dehydration cause a lot of sweating and even lose approx 2 kg of body weight. At this pace drivers kidney may have loose their kidney to function so once race is over they try to recover by drinking a lot fluids.
