Is George Russell capable of replacing a mercedes driver?

Russell a british racing driver who is 

currently at Williams rumoured to get a mercedes seat in year 2022.Many Fans hope that it's the right thing and many think it would be unfair to mercs driver??

Russell have been racing since year 2008 and have an impeccable record of winning races 

even drivers championship. His awareness of understanding the turns for maximum pace have been a key to win.

Year 2008-2009

He first tasted his victory at kart asters British Grand Prix -WTP 2008 cadet by finishing 1 in drivers championship from then  he went on to win formula kart stars MSA Cadet,MSA kart masters Grand prix-comer cadet in the same year 2009.

Year 2014

He first came into limelight when he won BRDC FORMULA 4 CHAMPIONSHIP in 2014 

With 6 wins 13 podiums 4 pole positions and 5 fastest laps

Year 2017-2018

A crucial year where GP3 SERIES AND and FIA FORMULA 2 CHAMPIONSHIP both were conquered by him with an impressive performance of 9 pole and 11 wins in total 18 podiums

Year 2019-CURRENT

On 13 October 2018 ,it was annouced that 

He had signed a multi-year deal to drive for the Williams teams from then on he has been out qualifying his car and recently qualified p8 at Silverstone circuit with just 0.48s away from p4 later on an incident with Sainz caused him to start at p11 

Conclusion 

At Williams 2019 it was said experience at top teams may help him but today he not only has experience even he can out qualify his car.It's no doubt that Russell have an ability to become world champion.
